Mothers Day 2010

My first mothersday was awsome! Michael and Nola made me breakfast in bed, and gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure. I love the idea of getting some pampering with some me time. Since we couldn't be with our own moms, we spent the day with our Idaho mom. Karole and Ken had us over for a steak dinner and it was delicious.

In other news, Nola has been spitting up a lot lately. I thought it was so funny the other night I decided I needed some pictures. Hopefully it wont last for too long, or we're going to be out of cloths!

Nola's Blessing Day

Nola was blessed at Carissa's church on May 2, 2010. My parents and all of my siblings were able to come up to Idaho Falls for the big day. She was blessed by her grandpa Steve, and grandma Lori made her dress. For some reason (I must have been entertaining or something) I didn't get a whole lot of pictures, but i'll hit everyone else up to see if they got any.

Grandma Comes to Visit

Grandma Janet got to come visit Nola for a week. It's been so fun having her here! (And it's been nice having someone do everything for me.) She took Nola shopping and spoiled her rotten. She's been using her camera too. Here are some of the pictures we got of the little model.

Six Weeks Old

Nola is now 6 weeks old. Can you believe it? It's been the fastest six weeks of my life. She's a lot of work but we're finally getting the hang of things.

With our families living so far away, we wanted to make sure everyone got to see our little girl while she was still a newborn, so Michael and I took pictures of her to send out announcements. We thought they turned out pretty good, and she was pretty well behaved. (I couldn't help myself, I had to post some of her crying.)

We Made it Through the Week!

Nola is now a week old! (Ok, so maybe it's been 9 days) The time really flew by, and we can honestly say we have never been so tired in our lives.

We are so glad our beautiful little girl is here. We were so lucky that both sets of grandparents were able to make it into town to meet the newest additon to the family. Michael's parents didn't get to stay for very long, they got into town Saturday afternoon and had to leave early Monday morning. But it was great to have them here!
My parents got to stay for a bit longer. They got into town right before Nola arrived and my mom stayed for the whole week! I was so glad to have the help. There's a lot to learn about having a brand new baby.

Anyways, back to the baby. She's lost some weight since birth, but we're working to fatten her up. It seems like all she does is EAT! We get to go to the doctors every other day to get on the scales. She changes every day. Its really cute to see all the faces she makes. (even if it is just gas)

She's HERE!

March 12, 2010, 8:00 Sharp, Nola Ann Coats arrived. She is absolutly beautiful. Weighing in at 7lbs 3oz and 20.5 inches long. A quick funny story, because there's nothing better to read on a blog. Michael was telling everyone in the hall she was 10 inches long. Don't worry she's already made her TV debut at an hour old. Here's some quick pictures we're posting from the hospital, and I'll have more when we get home!

Chief Meteorologist Michael Coats

After three and a half years at Local News 8, Michael has been promoted to the Chief Meteorologist position! This is quite the big deal in the Weather/Anchor/Television industry, and I couldn't be more proud of him!
Here's some of the promotions the station has been running about him, I thought you could all use a good laugh.
